Two days, packed exhibition halls, and an intensive exchange about the future of the data center industry – the Data Centre World 2026 In Frankfurt, it not only met but significantly exceeded the expectations of the entire industry. May 6 and 7, 2026 The operators, planners, and technology providers of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds are coming together to discuss pressing issues of digital infrastructure.
In the thick of it: the team of Daterra Datacenter Solutions GmbH at Stand L141 in Hall 8. This year, our focus was on two key developments: our own successfully adopted rebranding and the lived spirit of alliance within the bluu unit. We've had two intense trade fair days full of energy, new contacts, and forward-looking expert discussions.
Daterra in Hall 8: A New Face with Established Expertise
Visitors to our stand L141 in Hall 8 were greeted with a new design, but the same familiar faces and accustomed expertise. Our presence at Data Centre World 2026 was entirely dedicated to our rebranding from FM Service to Daterra.
Naturally, such a brand change raises questions in the industry. All the more pleasing, then, was the direct feedback from trade fair visitors: the new brand identity was exceptionally well received. The responses at the booth have shown that the market understands the strategic move.
The name Daterra perfectly captures our specialization, while continuity in project execution and interface management as a general contractor is fully maintained. Customers know that the established expertise remains – just under a more modern, concise umbrella.
The bluu unit alliance concept: Bundling competencies in partnership.
At the trade fair, one thing became particularly clear: The blue unit Allianz thought is not just a theoretical construct; it lives. In practice, complex data center projects usually fail because trades work completely isolated from each other – which quickly leads to expensive errors at the interfaces between building law, general planning, and air conditioning technology.
That's precisely why, at bluu unit, we bundle the specialized knowledge of over 20 companies into a Europe-wide alliance for sustainable refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation technology. Interlinking expertise, exchanging ideas directly, and working collaboratively on genuine overall solutions – that's what we practiced on both days of the trade fair.
For operators, this means tangible benefits: We combine Daterra's legal and planning expertise with the Allianz's highly specialized, environmentally friendly refrigeration technology. The result is efficient, all-in-one systems that withstand the enormous ecological and regulatory pressure on the industry.
Dialog at Eye Level: The Foundation for Tomorrow's Infrastructure
Two intensive trade show days thrive primarily on the people who shape them. The Data Centre World 2026 was characterized for us by inspiring encounters, new contacts, and an honest, expert exchange at eye level. The numerous conversations at our booth made it clear how great the current industry dynamics are.
„In almost every conversation, we notice that the old, individual approaches in construction no longer work. For us, the trade fair was confirmation that our focus on interfaces and the network idea hits exactly the right nerve. This direct, honest exchange here in Frankfurt gives us enormous momentum for the rest of the year.“
Patrick Peters, CEO of Daterra
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all visitors, partners, and companions. We take the positive energy, trust, and honest feedback on our approaches in the data center segment as valuable encouragement.
Conclusion and Outlook: After the trade fair is before the trade fair
The trade fair halls have emptied, but the real work is just beginning. We will now turn the impulses gained and concrete project ideas into action – we are already looking forward to what will emerge from the new contacts and partnership approaches in the coming weeks and months.
One thing is already certain after these successful trade fair days: Digital infrastructure requires continuous innovation and strong networks. That's why we're already looking ahead. We are already looking forward to being represented with our own booth again next year at Data Centre World 2027.
